Filigree / Wirework
Filigree or wirework is wire bent and soldered together. It can give strong but fine lace like results.
Compared to fretwork it tends to be much more time consuming.
Using different shapes and sizes of pliers, I bend wires into meandering, spiraling shapes. I then solder the separate sections together and either leave as open filigree or solder onto a base layer of sheet metal.
