Designs - Spiral Inspiration - Patterns. I'm drawn to patterns in nature - creatures, plants, fire...I have an infatuation with spirals - an ancient symbol representing growth and creative force found in cultures all over the world. I have been drawing spirals since I was a child... I have always been fascinated by intricate patterns; I enjoy a good well-designed ornate pattern or piece of calligraphy as much as a good story or piece of music. A passion for Oriental design began with a visit to Thailand where I studied the ornate symbolic decoration of the temples. The spiraling fire and flower patterns have stayed with me and grown over the years. |
