There are many more metalsmithing techniques I'd love to learn - lapidary, precious metal clay, etching... I hope to develop my enamelling skills, especially plique-a-jour. Travelling is always an inspiration. I've studied temple patterns in Thailand, visited jewellery workshops in Jaipur India, Amber workshop in Gdansk Poland, and exhibited in Osaka Japan. I hope to continue travelling, meeting other craftspeople and absorbing design and techniques from other places...(I'm always open to suggestions!). Lately I've been inspired by the graphic design of Native Americans especailly Ojibwe woodland art. |
